Johan receives tutelage from Rochelle Beresford. First exhibited during Tulbagh Arts Festival 2015 and also participated during the Christmas-in-Winter festival. Participating at the Group Exhibition at the Hugo Naude and Jean Welz Art Gallery in Worcester. Johan has mostly worked as a graphite sketch artist but has now confronted the challenge of oil painting and ceramics. He is influenced by Pollack, Dali and Christo Coetzee. He is currently exploring oil painted landscapes, both real and fantasy as well as the human form.
